PFA

PFA volunteers: Would you like to become part of the PFA volunteer team? We are looking for a group of people who are not looking to commit but are happy to pass their contact details to the PFA chair and secretary so we can contact you if we need extra help. This could be for helping at events where you can pop along and lend us a hand as and when it is suitable for you. It may be that you have some spare time to send some letters for us, help on a school trip, running a stall or collecting some shopping or donated prizes etc.

 

NOTICE of PARENTS AND FRIENDS OF

REEDHAM PRIMARY SCHOOL ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

 

The Reedham Primary School PFA is holding it’s Annual General Meeting on Thursday 9th October at 3:30 pm. The meeting will take place in Reedham School Hall. You can also attend virtually if you prefer. Please let the school office know know and we can send you a link.

 

We expect the meeting will take approximately 30 minutes. After this we will discuss events for the school year and fundraising ideas. These include events such as the Halloween disco, bake sales and Elfridges for Christmas time. We will then arrange a date for our next committee meeting.

 

You will see on the Agenda below that we need to reelect the committee members and officers. The current 3 officers are as follows:

•⁠  ⁠Chair – Rachel Aitchison whois happy to stand for re-election.

•⁠  ⁠Secretary- Kerri-Anne Watson who is happy to stand for re-election.

•⁠  ⁠Treasurer - Charlotte Lonsdale who is happy to stand for re-election.

 

 

As always, the group requires more committee members to help with the management of the group and to help at events. There are currently 7 parents on the PFA committee, as well as 3 officers named above. Our current PFA committee are: Karen, Shell, Ann, Aimee, Libby, Eve and ILona. 

 

If you have any suggestions for the AGM or would like to be a committee member, or want to nominate someone you know, please contact the school office or our secretary on kerri-annewatson@hotmail.com or

077824468242. It is not necessary to contact me in advance, it simply helps the meeting go smoothly. Equally, if you’d like to be on our list of helpers, but not commit to being on the committee, please let us know. We hope to see parents at the AGM.

Easy fundraising - Reedham Primary & Nursery School PFA have joined easy fundraising! This is a way you can raise money for us without it costing you anything! All you need to do is visit easyfundraising.org.uk and set up an account. Search for Reedham Primary & Nursery School PFA and join us. Then whenever you shop online, if you do this through the easyfundraising page or App, they will donate to the Reedham School PFA! Currently, we are raising funds to support the school with transport to events and visits and ipad cases.

Swimming Pool Renovation

We are officially starting to fundraise for our project to renovate the swimming pool. We were excited to see that the EDP had picked this up and run a story.  We would welcome any ideas around fundraising opportunities. Thank you to Ann, who is busy applying for grants! This can’t come quick enough as we have not been able to swim this week due to chemical imbalance.
